Originally built in 1868, our 2021 restoration has been twice-awarded. The stone house is tucked away on 18 acres in the Wisconsin River Valley, close to Spring Green. You’ll have a private retreat, surrounded by nature.
The main house is both rustic and elegant. The high ceilings and tall windows feel light and airy contrasted with the sturdy stone walls and the patinaed wood floors. Make a home-cooked meal in the new full galley kitchen with eat-in harvest table and benches. Or head to Spring Green for dinner at Reunion! The kitchen is well-equipped (vacation bakers will find a rolling pin, pie plates, jelly roll pans and more!). Put your feet up in front of the gas fireplace in the living room and enjoy the museum-quality fine art all around you.
The Brisbane House is about inclusivity, great comfort, beautiful scenery, extraordinary style. Explore the trails in the woods or up to a restored prairie and bluff overlooking the river valley. Learn about the house’s original owner, William Henry Brisbane, an abolitionist from South Carolina while you're here.
