About Us

Spring Branch Pottery was established in Marion County, Kansas in 1989. Following a move to Spring Green in 2016, a large green shed behind the house was transformed into an inviting, light filled space, containing a work area and a gallery.
My name is Paula Barta and I have had my hands in clay since 1978! I enjoy throwing on the wheel and slab building. Currently I am making pottery from stoneware clay and firing to almost 2200 degrees in an electric kiln. I make mugs, bowls, butter dishes, vases and other functional pieces, covered in a buttery satin glaze.
Please feel comfortable dropping by the studio to watch me at work or to shop for a gift! I can be reached on my cell phone at 620-381-4387. Texting is the best way to reach me.
