Designed for watercolorists ready to take on more than the basics, this series of eight 2 hour classes is recommended for students age 18 + who have previously taken a watercolor course and mastered basic watercolor skills.
Working with your own personal subject matter and still life arrangements we will explore a variety of approaches to expand your techniques and watercolor skills. Class discussions, instructor demos and peer feedback will enhance your learning experience.
Painting supplies will be provided, but experienced painters may wish to bring their own supplies and preferred papers. Topics and techniques we will explore include Avian Art, Adding Figures to Your Paintings, Painting Shiny Surfaces, Understanding Paint Labels, Still Life Paintings, Abstraction from a Photo, Water Water Everywhere and Glazing Techniques. Topics may vary according to class interest.

Teacher Biography: Vicky Lilla, WHS WWS, is a working artist with a studio in southwest Wisconsin. While living in Wisconsin Vicky became fascinated with the local landscape, rural buildings and regional wildlife especially the native sandhill cranes and the endangered whooping cranes.
